All of our charcuterie boards and cutting boards are finished with premium, food-safe products to ensure they are safe for direct contact with food. We use high-quality, food-grade finishes that enhance the wood’s natural beauty while protecting it for everyday use. Each product that is food-safe will include a clear disclaimer and care instructions to provide peace of mind and transparency for our customers.
At Makia Kreations, we work exclusively with locally sourced Hawaiian hardwoods, including Koa, Mango, Monkeypod, Kiawe, and other native species. Each piece of wood is carefully selected for its natural grain, color, and character — ensuring that every product reflects the beauty of the islands. By using reclaimed or sustainably harvested wood from Hawai‘i, we honor the land, support local forestry practices, and create functional art that carries a true sense of place.
